Stand-Alone

Jim’s Pterodactyl: And The Tipham Vampire

Satire Fiction, Humour Fiction, Dark

Meet Ollie!

When Caldwell Ellis commissions a ‘find and retrieve’ mission in Papua New Guinea to find Ropen eggs, Jim and Moira find themselves in a bit of a pickle when a cheese-loving Pterodactyl hatches from the egg that Moira inherits on Ellis’ death, along with Ellis’ cottage.
Ollie is a clever soul, who bonds with Jim and Moira and communicates telepathically. Her existence creates all kinds of trouble and adventures for the Tipham crew!

This book is a standalone, however, Jim’s Revenge is Jim and Moira’s origin story and well worth a read!

First Impression

Jim’s Pterodactyl: And The Tipham Vampire is set in the 3rd person with the viewpoint of more than one character.

The reader is introduced to the action straight away by Frank McUrber in Port Moresby, Papua New Guinea. Frank jumps in a taxi… the driver smells like he has been drinking. The driver takes him to his destination, chatting as they go along…

I am looking forward to reading Jim’s Pterodactyl: And The Tipham Vampire and can’t wait to find out what happens next!

Rating: 3 out of 4.

Jim’s Pterodactyl: And The Tipham Vampire is a fast-paced story that has been separated into 2 parts.

Williams has created an interesting plot containing action, humour, and intrigue. The writing style is easy to follow with a good mixture of description and dialogue.

The character development of Jim’s Pterodactyl: And The Tipham Vampire gives the reader a brief overview of the background of the characters… The characters are well rounded, with their own personalities.

I feel that Jim’s Pterodactyl: And The Tipham Vampire ties in nicely with the previous book, Jim’s Revenge. I enjoyed catching up with Jim and Moria… seeing how their had been getting along since the last time I heard from them..

I would recommend reading Jim’s Pterodactyl: And The Tipham Vampire to people who enjoy sci-fi and satire fiction, as it is a character driven story about fun, imagination, and adventure by following what happens to much loved characters…
